With this package, you take the reins of the in-home part of the project, and I provide you with detailed, easy-to-follow step-by-step instructions to achieve professional-quality results. I’m always just a phone call or email away if you need assistance. Here is a brief summary:

Preparation: Start by removing all cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and hardware. We’ll guide you on labeling each piece for easy reassembly.
Door and Drawer Fronts: Our team will pick up your cabinet doors and drawer fronts, taking them to our shop for thorough prepping and refinishing. (Refer to our refinishing process below for more details.)
Cabinet Frames: We provide you with everything you need to complete the cabinet frames, including detailed instructions, essential tools, primer, and top coat.
Reassembly: Once we’ve completed the refinishing of your doors and drawer fronts, they’ll be promptly returned to you for reinstallation.

This approach simplifies the refinishing process, as most of your kitchen’s visible areas are covered by doors and drawer fronts, leaving only a minimal amount of exposed surfaces for you to refinish on your own.

Meanwhile, I will meticulously prepare and refinish the cabinet frames on-site using a brush and roller, adhering to the detailed refinishing process outlined below.

Upon completion of the doors and drawer fronts, they will be carefully returned to your home and reinstalled, completing the transformation of your kitchen cabinets.

3. The Complete Full-Service Package:

For the utmost convenience, I will personally handle the removal of all doors and drawer fronts from your cabinets. These components will then be transported to my workshop for thorough prepping and refinishing. Below is a detailed breakdown of my process, along with some extra insights to give you a clear understanding of how I work and what you can expect:

1. Label, wrap and prepare doors and drawers for transportation

The first step in the process is the careful removal and labeling of the doors, drawer fronts, and hardware. To ensure they are protected during transport to my workshop, I wrap each piece in moving blankets, safeguarding them against any potential damage.

2. Ensure Your Kitchen & Home's Safety from Overspray

Following this, I will meticulously cover and mask every inch of your kitchen, including countertops, backsplash, walls, ceilings, floors, appliances, and the interiors of your cabinets. To further ensure a clean and safe environment, I set up plastic walls and air ducts that effectively enclose the room. This not only contains any overspray but also minimizes odors, maintaining the integrity and cleanliness of your kitchen throughout the process.

3. Prepare surface for application

Next, it’s crucial to meticulously clean the surface to eliminate any grease or oils. This step is followed by sanding, using a orbital sander for a smooth, even finish. For areas inaccessible to the orbital sander, manual sanding ensures no spot is overlooked. To conclude the preparation, I thoroughly vacuum and then wipe down all surfaces, removing every last speck of dust. This ensures the cleanest possible base for the refinishing work.

4. Apply new coating

After ensuring the surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and the area is completely dust-free, the primer is applied. This step is then followed by a light sanding to smooth the surface, succeeded by a thorough cleanup to remove any resultant dust. Once the primer has properly cured, I proceed with applying the top coats. After each coat, a careful inspection is conducted for any imperfections, ensuring the highest quality finish before proceeding to the next coat.

5. Inspection

Once a final inspection is completed to identify and address any remaining issues, the process of carefully removing the masking begins, followed by a thorough clean-up. This ensures that your kitchen not only looks renewed but is also left in immaculate condition.

6. Re-install doors & drawers

After the kitchen frame is fully finished, the focus shifts to the doors and drawers. They will undergo a similar process of cleaning, sanding, and spraying at my workshop, following the same thorough steps as with the frame. Once these pieces are perfectly refinished and have cured, they will be transported back to your kitchen. There, I will carefully reinstall and realign each door and drawer. Additionally, new door bumpers will be added to complete the transformation and enhance the overall functionality.

You’ll have access to your appliances throughout the entire process, ensuring minimal disruption to your daily routine.

The duration of the entire refinishing process ranges from one to four weeks, largely dependent on the size and complexity of your kitchen. Rest assured, every effort will be made to complete the transformation efficiently without compromising on quality.
